EKO Bulgaria is an international company operating in the field of fuel and fast‑moving consumer goods. The company distributes its products and offers its services through a network of over 101 petrol stations operating under the EKO brand.

 

If you are data-driven professional who constantly looks for new opportunities for growth by referring to external and internal (market) data and analysis to generate insights and enhance commercial strategies, we are offering you a great opportunity to challenge yourselves and join our team in Sofia as Non-Fuel Retail Category Management Analyst.

Main responsibilities:

  • Contributes to the development of data‑driven commercial strategies for the Non-Fuel Retail (NFR) category in line with the overall company strategic direction;

  • Analyzes sales, margin, volume and basket composition across non‑fuel categories and identifies key performance drivers;

  • Develops, evaluates and optimizes pricing, discount and promotional mechanisms to ensure competitive positioning and sustainable profitability;

  • Monitors market trends, consumer behavior and competitors’ activities;

  • Supports optimization of assortment structure, shelf layout and planograms;

  • Supports business planning and budgeting with relevant analysis and insights;

  • Monitors and manages key commercial KPIs;

  • Ensures accuracy, consistency and integrity of commercial and sales data;

  • Prepares regular analytical reports and dashboards for the company management.

Job requirements

What are we looking for:

  • University Degree in Business, Economics, Finance or other relevant;

  • Proven experience in a similar role (business analysis, commercial analysis, category management or retail analytics);

  • Strong business acumen with substantial knowledge and understanding of local retail environment and market data;

  • Advanced ability to analyse sales, pricing, margin, and promotional performance with conceptual thinking that drives decision making;

  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt quickly to changing business priorities;

  • Growth mindset, proactivity, curiosity and motivation to develop in Retail industry;

  • Experience working with ERP systems and reporting / data warehouse tools;

  • Experience with BI tools (e.g. Power BI, Tableau) is a strong advantage;

  • Highly proficient in MS Office;

  • Good level of written and spoken English.
